Before you start
- Check current account access, plan and task requirements.
This is a week-to-date editorial edition, not a complete seven-day retrospective. Coverage ends at 2026-10-01 15:50 UTC. The previous Hermes release and earlier Muse launch are context, not events newly published this week.
The week’s decision
Separate “newly announced”, “currently accessible” and “verified for my task”. These states move at different speeds. A launch can be relevant while account rollout is still incomplete.
Upgrade recovery deserves its own task
OpenClaw’s current release makes the supported upgrade path and backup conditions worth reading before restart. Hermes’s date-based tag differs from its internal version; record both when checking connector and gateway behavior.
Editorial view: preserve a working baseline and rehearse recovery. A successful package install is insufficient evidence for a persistent assistant.
Cloud access is an operational question
Dot’s announcement is new this week; access depends on plan, region and rollout. Cue is introduced alongside Manus 2.0, but the two products’ allowances must be checked independently. Grok Bot’s current FAQ is more useful for eligibility than its older launch waitlist.
Editorial view: shortlist against actual account access and a bounded budget, then use one synthetic read-only task before connecting a real inbox.
Persistent context is not a complete memory result
Muse’s security architecture and Instinct’s context-oriented positioning raise useful questions about approval, correction and deletion. Public descriptions do not establish a successful memory correction or complete export.
Three things to do next
- Open the version radar and check whether a date describes a release or a source review.
- Use the scenario chooser to expose a hosting, budget or eligibility mismatch.
- Read the memory and approvals guides; write one measurable acceptance task before enabling background work.
Coverage and limits
Official pages and release records were checked. No product account, model inference, agent benchmark or comparative performance experiment was run for this edition. Weekly editions are editorial publications; the existing source collector does not automatically write a new edition.
Evidence and limits
Official documentation checked
- Source-backed facts plus BotClaw editorial interpretation. No product account, inference or agent performance test was run.
