Does an RSS digest need an agent at every step?
Collect and deduplicate deterministically, then use an agent only where interpretation improves the output. Keep the original link and date throughout.

Before you start
- Check current account access, plan and task requirements.
A useful information service can be built before model access exists. Source integrity, stable identifiers and reviewable output already create value.
A small architecture
Fetch approved feeds, normalize dates, deduplicate by canonical source URL and retain a bounded excerpt. Put summary or categorization behind a separate stage so failed inference cannot erase the collected evidence.
Acceptance without a model
Feed a fixed sample through the pipeline twice. The same records should keep the same IDs, duplicates should not multiply, and malformed input should be visible without breaking the entire edition.
The existing downloadable BotClaw Node RSS sample has software execution evidence. Connecting that sample to OpenClaw or Hermes is still a separate, unperformed integration.
Add interpretation later
- Freeze a small source sample and a useful target summary format.
- When inference is available, compare factual accuracy, missing context and review time.
- Keep original links beside every generated statement.
Evidence and limits
Official documentation checked
- Source-backed facts plus BotClaw editorial interpretation. No product account, inference or agent performance test was run.
